Lock and Mortice creates solid wood furniture that welcomes the passage of time. They design and build products of enduring relevance and utility. After our successful collaboration on their space at the Interior Design Show Vancouver, they invited us to create a film that portrayed the essence of their values at L&M. The film focused on the interplay between nature's vast beauty and its minute details, mirroring the precision and care in Lock and Mortice's creations. We prioritized the presence of nature and humanity, shifting our narrative focus seamlessly between outdoor grandeur and intimate indoor settings, highlighting the symbiotic relationship between nature, humanity, and the functional beauty of furniture within these spaces.
Our approach centered on creating a visual story that conveyed the quality and uniqueness of Lock and Mortice's furniture. We employed advanced cinematography techniques to capture the fine details and textures of each piece, while our film production focused on demonstrating their functionality and aesthetic appeal in real-life scenarios. By setting up their furniture in diverse environments, we highlighted their versatility and the harmonious blend of form and function. Collaboration with Lock and Mortice was integral to this project, reflecting our commitment to client participation and ensuring that our visuals accurately represented their vision and brand ethos.
